EasySinhala for English to Sinhala Transliteration, A Firefox add-on


This is to facilitate Sinhalese friends who use Firefox.

If you are not familiar with the Sinhala keyboard! Or you don’t have the proper technology to type Sinhala in your browsers! Don’t worry. Now you don't need to spend time on searching to find mapping Sinhala keys..!!

All you need is to start typing Singlish ("ammaa”) with EasySinhala and it will show a tooltip with the transliterated Sinhala word ("අම්මා"). Then when you press spacebar the English word you typed will be replaced by the Sinhala word on your textbox.

Now EasySinhala version 1.2 is released (on 25-12-2010)

    @ Lochana
    I think you have not correctly installed Unicode in your computer. Please do so.
    You can get a good guide to install Sinhala Unicode form
    http://www.siyabas.lk/

    and refer my guide to get the correct combinations.
    You can find the mappings by right clicking anywhere in your page then select "EasySinhala"-> "Some tips..."

    To enable and disable EasySinhala quickly
    you can add a short cut button.

    Right click on the menu-bar (at the free space next to Help menu)
    then select "Customize.." you will get a dialog box with lot of buttons, fine the EasySinhala icon drag and drop that anywhere you feel comfortable (recommended place is just after the address-bar).
    That's it your ready to go.

    ඩු "Du"

    To get more help check the "Some Tips..."
    But I think these ඩු is not included there, I'll add that in the next release

    Many of you have considered installing the Firefox browser but haven't yet because of the unknown. Some of you may have even tried it but went back to IE (Internet Explorer) because no one was around to explain how to use and configure it. search bar firefox 57 addon

    that with this add-on set where I not only added some more colours, but also 3 other seating options: a symmetrical love seat, 3 seat sofa, and a bench seat. This brings the total number in this set from 2 to 5. Very much an improvement.
